SHANE FOR CITY COUNCIL IN WARD 5
A NEIGHBOURHOOD FIRST, THEN A CALLING
Roots in the community
I didn't arrive in Ward 5 with a political agenda. I came here because I recognized its potential and chose to invest in its future. Over time, I have built strong connections across the ward, and remained committed to supporting its continued growth and success. I have planted roots here and I've never looked back.
Building from within
Over the years I've worked alongside residents, businesses, and partners throughout the ward to strengthen the fabric of this community. I have done this through local advocacy, business development, and eight years as Chair of the Ford City Business Improvement Association. I believe that real and meaningful progress is built from listening, collaboration, building trust, and staying in it for the long haul.
Proving what's possible
Through my involvement in local initiatives, including organizing Dropped on Drouillard, I know what this ward is capable of when people believe in it. Ward 5 doesn't need to be discovered, it needs to be championed. It is full of opportunity and strength, and it deserves continued support and thoughtful leadership.
The next step
Running for City Council is the natural extension of everything I've already been doing. Our ward deserves a dedicated and experienced voice at City Hall that comes from genuine experience and a long-term commitment. A voice that reflects the needs of the community and believes in Windsor's potential.

MEET SHANE POTVIN
Hi, a little about me. Ward 5 is a big part of my story. I lived, worked and visited this area often throughout my life. My wife Lauren and I live a few minutes walk from the ward with our French bulldog, Benny, and our tuxedo cat, Howie. We currently spend a lot of our time in Ford City and are deeply connected to the community through both our work and daily life.
We renovated a building at Drouillard and Whelpton nine years ago, for which I operate a design and advertising business, which I've run for over 15 years. From that same space, I also created a co-working space that supports local entrepreneurs and small businesses. My wife previously owned a vintage shop on Drouillard and continues to stay actively involved in the community through her work running the Ford City Community Garden.
I'm creative at heart and a strong communicator, community builder and strive to build powerful relationships. Most of all, I love this area and want to see it thrive.
I'm looking forward to meeting you when I begin visiting your neighbourhood in person.

I don't want to do this alone, that's no fun.
I am willing to work hard but I need people like you to lend a hand along the way. My team and I will be looking donations and volunteers for events, mail drops, sign installation, canvassing and on election day.
If you've got some time to spare and want to support me and my team, email us at hello@shanepotvin.com.
Thanks for your support!

Since joining the neighbourhood, Shane has made a significant impact on the growth of the Ford City community. He has built strong connections with the people and businesses in the area, and it's exciting to see someone so dedicated stepping forward. He truly understands the needs of the community, and I'm confident he will represent us well and help bring meaningful change on an even higher level.
